Michael J. Valentine’s story begins in Orlando, Florida, where he grew up surrounded by a vibrant mix of Rock, Soul, Funk, Blues, Gospel, R&B, and the magic of classic musicals. His artistic spark ignited at nine years old when he discovered KISS—an explosive blend of rock‑and‑roll power and comic‑book fantasy. But it was the thunderous energy of his first concert, Andy Gibb, that revealed his true calling: he belonged on a stage.
With the support of his father, Michael started on piano and drums before teaching himself guitar, eventually shaping a style inspired by legends like Lindsey Buckingham, Elvis, Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, Pete Townshend, Jimi Hendrix, Prince, The Beatles, David Bowie, David Gilmour, Steven Wilson, and Neil Young. Now based in California, he channels that rich musical upbringing into a sound rooted in storytelling, emotion, and timeless craftsmanship. A prolific songwriter, Valentine has penned more than 200 songs across multiple genres.
Drawing from the soul and groove of the ’70s, the bold character of the ’80s, and the heart of the ’90s, Valentine creates music that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. His songs carry an uplifting spirit—warm, melodic, and polished—while shifting effortlessly from one mood to the next. No matter the style, his voice as an artist remains unmistakable: honest, vibrant, and deeply human.
ALIVE (2023)
Coupled with pursuing several sync and licensing deals, Michael released his most invigorating and inspirational songs to date on the 12-track release aptly titled, “ALIVE.” Released in 2023, “ALIVE” is filled with positive and powerful songs like "Brave", Thankful, Beautiful Life", and “Rise”. The songs are filled with inner strength, gratitude, reflection, - and simply feeling ALIVE.
CHAMELEON (2026)
Chameleon—arriving soon, is Valentine’s third album and the album’s title is a reflection of his belief that creativity should never be boxed in. Chameleon celebrates artistic freedom, blending styles while staying true to the heart of who he is.
The Chameleon era begins with the release of the lead single “Far Out and Groovy,” an upbeat retro feeling song all about letting go and feeling good, which will be followed by the album’s official launch and a run of back‑to‑back supporting singles. Valentine is also preparing to bring his music to the stage, assembling a dynamic live band and setting his sights on major venues and opening opportunities with top artists. At the core of it all is his passion for sharing positivity, energy, and connection through the power of music.
As he steps into this new chapter, Valentine hopes listeners and the industry see him as an artist committed to authenticity and emotional truth. His music follows its own path, shaped by the influences he loves but guided by instinct and honesty. His mission is simple: to create songs that uplift, inspire, and connect.
Stay tuned—this is just the beginning.
